2.5 is ok if your going turbo the headers and dp that u picked has been discussed here over and over. That header and dp will delete your cat converter thats why it has an 02 bung in it. as for that exhaust many people here have installed it and even put up vids of it at idle and revving.

Go through this thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=252902 for the exhaust.

Go though this thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=266581 for the Headers DP.

or this https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=264862 for the headers and DP.

Did you not read my post thoroughly. If you get that setup (referring to the Header/DP combo) you wont have a catalytic converter because that system is setup not to use one.

o2 bung is for the o2 sensor, which is needed to read exhaust gases to alter the AFR
im pretty sure it wont pass emissions tests without the cat, not sure on US law

if u get a cat-back, yeah the exhaust is after the cat,
but i think NOE means when u get the Headers and DP u dont need the cat

The exhaust system that u picked out is a cat-back system which means it is everything you need after the cat converter. The Header/DP system you picked is designed to bolt up directly to the catback system so which means that u will not be able to use a cat coverter.

2. Will it be street-legal? No removing any cat converter from your car voids the warranty and is illegal for street use. Our stock lancers have 2 of these cat converters - one in the stock header and one underneath.

3. but what does an 02 bung do? Our lancers have 2 O2 sensors on them that the ecu uses to monitor exhaust gases and adjust the A/F Ratio - one in the stock header and one in the stock cat converter. That since that header/DP combo is designed to remove both cat converters you still need to install the 2 O2 sensors in the system for the car to monitor the exhaust gases and adjust the A/F Ratio properly so the designer put 2 O2 bungs in the line so you can screw the stock sensors in - one in the header and one in the DP in the spot where the 2nd cat converter would sit.

ok ... sweet....

yeah...im thinkin im only gonna go with the exhuast....not the headers...

ill take the car to a shop and have my headers fixed...(theres a small crack .... damn speed bumps)....

but now...with the exhuast i noticed it has a 3 bolt pattern.....does the stock catyltic converter have 3 bolt or 2 bolt?

its rainny and i havent had a chance to get out under the car yet
