So when I was purchasing, they were telling me about a Katzkin leather upgrade that I could have done. I'm quite interested in doing it, but would like to see how it looks beforehand. I hear this is not a my-dealership-only thing too. So if anyone got the leather or has access to a camera and a car with the leather, please post pics!

 

I was able to get my dealer install leather seats... leather (materials) was supplied by mitsubishi (it has the mitsu logo) and the warranty is from mitsu too but it was installed by an accredited after market shop (I don't know the name). I got mine for $900.

P.S. I have a rally red GTS and the only color (leather) option is black...

Hey 2008gts, when you get around to it could you post some pics? I'm really interested in getting it as kids are easier with leather.

 

leather was also offered in the older Lancer models but is rare. This isnt really new. Katzkin makes a great product.

 

never knew it was an option...salesman didn't mention anything about a leather option for the car or from the dealer.

 

I don't think it is technically an "option" for the GTS. I'm thinkin it's just another add-on the dealer can offer if they want to... Kinda like tinted windows.

 

wish they had offered me that. would have been a first for me! i can probably get them cheaper somewhere else instead of at the stealership.

 

well. you can order skins for your seats right from katzkin but they are pricey. great quality though. Few Lancers on here have them. I believe OZLancer1 has them.

 

after about 2 weeks with the fabric seats, im really starting to want leather because of all the dust and debris that is now stuck to the seats.

 

The dealer had a blue GTS inside on display without Nav but with Leather. It was super dark grey with blue stitching and blue suede inserts and the front covers had Lancer GTS stitched in it very large in Blue and pure black. Was VERY hot looking... bit too 'boy racer', but hot. It's a dealer add-on, those were I believe 1100 bucks. Very tight fit, looked great. I didn't sit in it, can't tell if it was slipped on over original cloth or naked to the cushions.

 

lint roller. i do mine every 2-3 days. only negative thing so far.

 

when i bought my car the salesman said that leather was going to be an eventual upgrade but wasn't availible at that time. Guess it is now. 2008GTS, got any pics?

I will try to snap some pics soon... I've been really busy at work in the last few weeks so I didn't have time to take some pics yet... the leather wasn't really an option but an add-on... I have a 3-year old and leather was the only way to go we really asked for it when we purchased the car so we can roll into the loan and also get a discount... they initially offered the leather add on for 1,200.00 (1,500 with heated seats)... we were able to get it for 900.00... also got them to give us 1,300 off the sticker price of the car (rally red GTS with sun and sound and nav and tech package)... I got mine last Apr 2, 2007... it was the first Lancer sold in MN according to my dealer.
