How many of you are buying an '08 GTS with plans to trade it in when the EvoX comes out?
I have a question for those people, what do you expect your losses to be? how much will you lose from your original purchase after you trade it in?
Being this is my first car ive never dealt with trade in before and just wondering how much of an option it might be when i go insane not having the EvoX

One more thing i will ask involving this is:
There will be many visual mods to make a GTS look like an evo, but will
release the engine mods to make it perform like an evo? have they done this for any previous models or is buying the evo itself the only way to get the same performance? Basically, will it be possible to turn a GTS INTO an EvoX COMPLETELY with
parts and not have to buy a whole new car?
(I know it will be possible aftermarket, but manufacturer parts make for an unvoided warranty

I am not 100% sure but I think Mitsu does offer a evo package. With this car it would be pretty frickn easy they are very close to being the same car. Price wise you would lose your @ss trading in a car 6month to a year old to a dealer you would be better off selling it to someone else. Best bet is to see if mitsu does offer a EVO package and price compare it to moding the shyt out of your GTS.
Yeah i hope they make a nice package, I'd love to mod the hell out of it but i want things to be made specifically for the car BY Mitsu Motors so i get the peace of mind and keep my warranty.
Only thing i really see the evo having that the GTS wont, will be AWD.. i just dont see a price efficient way of changing that, since it infact would be a complete CHANGE to many parts and not just a mod, as far as i know atleast.

.I paid cash for it, 18,700 out the door. I am perfectly fine with only being offered 10 grand for the trade in. I dont really care because the in the end I will own an X either way. But since purchasing the GTS, I have met and become friends with one of the higher ups in marketing for Mitsubishi North America. She deals with all the new cars that come in through Long Beach and as long as I stay friends with her until next February
, she says she can grab me whatever I want and I can buy it directly from her, no dealership needed.I see a red Evo X within a year

But realistically, if you are looking to really be doing some sort of performance and need an AWD car, youd be better off putting that chunk of change into buying an old subaru or mitsu as a project car. Itll have your AWD and then at least you could mod the hell out of the engine and suspension.
Yeah, my mustang is falling apart, AC broke, transmission is shot, panels are falling apart, leather is all cracked to hell, stuff is leaking.. the cars had its run of 12 years, it was time to get something new and safe lol. Even if the EvoX was out right now i dont think id have the extra 10-15k to spend on it

I don't need the EvoX. It'd be nice, but I do a lot of traveling and am perfectly comfortable in my GTS. I'll probably mod it a little bit but I'm quite settled in the fact that my GTS is not an Evolution and I'm fine with that. I'll probably keep this car for a good 3-4 years and wait to see if they bring back the Diamante.
Good point, but the thing that makes an Evo so much more attractive than a modded GTS is that the Evo comes with a 10 year warranty. A modded GTS (comparable to an Evo) will not.
