let me know when you find a k swap for 1-1500. i will sell my lancer right away. no way it can be that cheap. most k swaps here around 6-10k depending where to go. LS swaps maybe around 1000-2000 but a K swap wont be cheap as a b18.

here in san antonio they sale civics with swaps for around 1-3 k

 

^i guess they do everything bigger in Texas! But over here, where there is nothing...not even F&F ricers reallly, I'd stick with the single-stick and boosted it! Hell, <$2k can net you 11's and maybe 10s if done right!

okay theirs a place online you can buy a k24a4 motor for 600 but 750 with shipping. accord/element motor etc...

but a k20 motor dropped in a eg hatch is not cheap. its not a few thousands either. i havent sold my lancer yet but if you find me a k20 swap being 1000 dollars than i will get rid of it asap and im sure you wont find it being cheap.

thats a good price they sell those around here for about 2k with low miles. he didnt mention how much miles on the engine.

 

11's are actually a little more difficult then that. You end up with traction and tranny problems after 300hp. Trust me. Our del Sol runs a 13.1 melting tires in 3rd gear.

 

it has really low miles,he just built it........i know him......

 

Part of that money I'd spend obviously on some slicks, a traction bar, and correct spring rated rear springs. Oh, don't forget the OBX LSD!
