Does yours supply direct power to the hids? are the hids off in position 1, or does your relay just stop it from flickering in position 1?

I have an 08 GTS and have read all the forums about the HID flicker. I originally chose option 3, but it failed. Then, I decided to go with 1, even though headlights would always be on. My capacitor is 2200 uF and 35 V. When I installed and tested this I was happily surprised to see that after about 55 seconds, my headlights shut off, leaving my parking lights. Headlights then, come right back on. I would upload pics but it is not working. The other thing is, for some reason my relay looks different.

could some one please describe in more detail how to do this...

thank you

the diagram worked wonderfully.

if anyone is interested, i will be selling one relay harness shortly, as i have extra parts to finish another harness for someone else.

i will take pictures so you guys can see my soldering work if any of you are interested in buying the harness.

Here are some pictures of my soldering work + harnesses if anyone is interested. My harnesses are different than that of JROX because my harnesses are removable for any 9005/6 application if you decide to change cars because the DRL bypass module is not soldered directly onto the harness, rather there is a separate harness that connects between the relay harness itself and the factory harness.

Let me know what you guys think!

you shouldn't get any warranty issues if you buy/use something like my plug and play harness as you can just remove the harness with no trace of it ever being there.

good place to get cheap projectors? multiple website. check retrofit source's website out and try hidplanet's store.

I bought my HID kit and relay harness from ddmtuning.com
My lights flickered since my 2006 Lancer ES has DRLs and there was no way of disabling them. The relay harness itself didn't work so I bought the capacitor mentioned in this thread. From there, it worked perfectly. Great thread! Could have been explained a little more for those who have never installed lights but overall, great job!

I'm guessing that you need a harness relay as well for this to work
