does the airflow arrows point down? I wish I saw this thread before I went and did it and failed big time to take note of the direction before I removed the OEM filter. I think it points down because i remember the Mitsubishi diamonds logo being on the left side for the filter. Somebody please verify. Thanks

and btw I got a Bosch replacement cabin filter for ~$20 off of eBay and it fits perfectly. And as a side note the OEM filter is made in Germany and the Bosch one I got was made in the U.S.

Yes, the airflow is downward.

ok I had to replace my cabin filter again on my 09 Ralliart because I found a dead mouse laying on top of it. Anyway I thought the airflow points down but I turned on the fan and stuck my hand inside the filter housing (not recommended, your fingers could get chopped off) and Im pretty sure the air travels upwards.....can anyone else confirm which way the stock cabin filter airflow arrow points??

I believe my arrow points down too. Could it be possible that the arror means "catch stuff on this side"? You would think that mitsu engineers would be able to correctly specify the direction the air filter should go it... Even if the arrow doesn't mean the direction the air flows, that doesn't necesarily mean that it's wrong.

As in the video in post #51, the filter I just got for my 90K service did not have any markings for air flow. So, if there is an arrow, have it pointing down. If there are no arrows, then don't worry about it.

Need help with choosing spring/struts

Lancer 09 DE has 72,000 miles and tires are getting cupped, due to under performing suspension, per a mechanic that inspected the car.

I'm looking for struts/coilovers to replace my spring/struts and I have a lifetime alignment that I don't want to void by lowering the car. I do want something much stiffer that will stop the car from diving when you slam on the brakes. Do you guys have any suggestions on something that I can keep the car at the same height, yet gives me a stiffer suspension?

I haven't made any changes to my suspension, so I have nothing to offer on that topic. If you want a better shot at getting some good advice on suspension, I suggest you start a new thread or do a search on suspension. Posting your question in a thread about pollen filters probably isn't the way to go
