Hard to polish a turd! The CVT is gutless, and you are not going to get a lot of gains from simple bolt on's! I would work more on handling and visual enhancements. ie...... tint the windows....make sure you use mole-skin, RRM springs to lower her down a bit, and then personalize it to your liking! Good luck

That's not a bad plan. I was really surprised how brilliantly my GTS held up while Auto Xing (except the stock tires...they keeled over and died before the day was out). You'd have a little more work to do with the DE as far as suspension upgrades, but it would be money well spent.

For sure, Your taking a base line "cheap" car and building up. Would start with visual elements like said above, Make it look better than it actually is. Or if you have a preference for making it a sleeper to other GTS owners Do pure performance related Upgrades Header, Exhaust, Turbo/Intake, and suspension. Of course your gonna spend more in the end saying as the GTS already has some suspension stuff that doesn't really need to be upgraded.

When I got my DE this is exactly the course I went for but I mixed the two. I added the Aero Kit, RIMs, Intake, next I'm tinting then Springs, then Exhaust. For me I don't need it to be a fast gas guzzling vehicle, Just need it to look good from my perspective, and that should be true for everybody, but in the end Its your car, do to it what you feel would be better for your purpose and don't worry about ppl who flame you cause they have a contradictory position of what a car should be.
