debadging my OZ

ok so i tried to take off my emblems, and after many hours of rubbing and scraping i think i got it smooth, but i was wondering if anybody had an easier way to do this? i just the mitsubishi logo off, and i think the rest will look bad ***, but i don't want to mess up my paint or anything. any ideas?

Most people use fishing line or tooth floss to get behind the letters, and get them off. After that, a little goof off and you can get the adhesive off much easier. Heat also helps.

Use a blow dryer to heat up each letter until its really hot, so that the adhesive softens up. Then, take some plain, dental floss and use it to kind of saw of the emblems. Once it's off, you can use goo gone, as mentioned before, or something similar (i used adhesive remover from Strauss because they didnt have goo gone) and use something to wipe/rub the adhesive off. Be careful if you use your fingers though. i used my finger to rub off the adhesive and i did it for so long that i didnt notice the hole from the skin that came off my finger

if you remove your emblems it leavesbehind that gooey adhesive. if you go to your local napa auto parts store and ask the for a 3m strip off wheel. what it is a arbor that goes into a drill and than the strip off wheel hooks to it takes adhesive of extremely easy. and best part it you run no risk of damaging your clearcoat

1 Heat: steamer or heat gun or blow dryer.
2 Solvent: soak with bodyshop grade adhesive remover
3 Pull off emblems by hand or with floss
4 Towels: use microfibers, heat and solvent to finish cleaning off adhesive, preferrably steamer as heat gun and blow dryer combined with solvent can be dangerous.
5 Polish: depending on how bad you hammer the paint, which if you followed steps 1 through 4 should be minimal, polish out any uv marks with polish and then wash and wax.
