Hello Guys, I have a white 2008 Lancer, and as you know the 2009 model came with the front bumper middle part all black which looks really cool and aggresive. So I was thinking to cover the middle white part of the front bumper with a black heavy duty vinyl to give it that 2009 look.

Do you know where I can buy that on line? or how to look up for it? what keywords to use?, I have done lots of research without results. If you have a better idea or advice on how to get that work done go ahead a share it!

Which 2009 are you talking about though because i have an '09 lancer gts wicked white, and my front bumper is white.. but i already ordered the vinyl....

 

I'm going to get it painted, I hope not to regreat. Let me see your car after the vinyl I'll post a picture of mine after the painting. remember matte black.

About the new model with white bumper, thats weird, I've seen many lancers around town with the black bumper, i dont think all those people got the vinyl or got it painted, perhaps, but its pretty unlikely.

 

It's not all the 09s that come with the blacked out center. It's the Ralliart (or Evo, of course)

 

the first time i did the matte black vinyl i didnt remove the front bumper. long story short it looked like crap. it had bubbles and the cuts were not completly straight (so i ripped it off). so sunday im goin to remove the bumper to install it. it will be easyER and will look WAAAYYY better.

 

Today I took my car to the dealer for maintenance service, and saw the new GTS with the blacked out center, it wasnt Evo or Ralliart, however the whole bumper is somehow different to 2008 model, it does not have separte front lips, the lip comes in a complete piece from one end to the other.

Maybe we get a little different version of the same car down here, but the car is 99% the same worldwide, it just changes a few details i've seen.

Today I bought the front lips, and tomorrow will order the side skirts and spoiler from Ebay since I got a DE

 

I have a white 09 gts, I'd like to see those pics as soon as you guys get your bumpers done
