Anyone put tails in the oven like the headlights?

Anyone put tails in the oven like the headlights?
I was wondering if it would work the same. Bake them then pull off the clear outside paint the ugly red black.. then glue them back together. I really dont want to spray tint them because my state police are bored out of their minds and pull ya over for your car being the wrong shade. It sucks.
