Unhappy Moisture in headlights...

Just want to know if any one is experiencing or has experienced moisture in their headlights. I took off my stock position lights and change them to hyper white bulbs and then I took them off again because I got pulled over for them being to bright. The next week I noticed I had moisture in my headlights and its all foggy, but only on the right headlight...Need Help...does anyone have any suggestions???

Your car is under warranty. This is what warranties are for. Take it to the dealership and get a new headlight assembly. It's possible this is caused by a fracture in the headlight or something that you can't see.

On the other hand, if while replacing your bulbs, you managed to accidentally pull out the various rubber seals that protect from this sort of thing, then it's your fault and you probably shouldn't go the warranty route, but I'm assuming that's not the case.

In case warranty doesn't cover it, you are going to have to reseal them. It involves baking the lamps until you can pull them apart and using silicon to seal them up again. Either that or take the tiniest drill bit you can get a holt of and putting a small hole at the top so the condensation can vent, but that is not as effective as resealing them.

If you have to reseal them, don't go to such lengths as that. First, consider the potential that the seal in question is from the bulb change. Pull out the headlight assembly, pull out all the bulbs and leave the headlight out in the sun for a bit so the condensation will vent out through those holes. Once that's done, examine the seals around the bulbs and put it all back together. If it was just a fluke, then you'll be all set again.

pull out a head light, put a hair dryer up to the light... and then let it unfog... then put the light back in.

Bingo! It's a possibility that you got water in the headlight when you switched out the headlights. I would do this before you go about resealing anything.

Stock or aftermarket?

Look at all the rubber seals around where the bulbs go in, and visually inspect the whole taillight for cracks. If it all looks good, use the hairdryer method, and check for moisture again in a few weeks.
