the glass is tempered too adds alot to the cost. people actually steal cars and take all the glass.

it was just a local guy trust me it was not even worth it he dropped the windshield on my car as he was setting it down and shattered it i had glass all over i was mad! and scratched my roof since it it came off the suction cups and thats why i got it CHEAP!

I didn't know the lancers had rain sensing wipers, but i know they do have speed sensitive wipers. Maybe the glass guy was confused or something. 1000 bucks sounds retarded. Rain sensitive wipers pass an infrared beam through the glass to sense the rain, but it's usually only on really high end cars. I even just checked the mitsubishimotors.ca website to confirm, and couldn't find anything about rain sensing wipers. Maybe they just don't have them in canada? It does say that it has a Green laminated windshield, whatever that means.
