Opinion wanted: Fair price to ask on a Lancer needing a HG?

I don't WANT to sell the car, but the two of us have four cars already so the one that I think needs a headgasket has been chosen. The Lancer

Anyway, it has 118k miles, auto, ES trim. Everything works fine, but the radiator went last year and now the car consumes coolant. Reservoir bubbles. Pretty sure the HG needs replaced. It's not daily driven, so I think damage beyond the bad gasket it unlikely. It's not overheating at all, runs like a top.

So KBB says the car is $3k in "fair" condition. What says EvoM.net on an opinion to ask? I'm thinking $2k. Or am I smoking the good stuff???
Seems like with gas prices going ^, this class of car is pricing pretty good.

Much below $2k and I'm inclined to fix it myself although I really do not have the time.

i bought mine in same condition for $1300 and was still mad, but he didnt tell me it had a blown hg!!! and it warped the block didnt find that out till i had the head resurfaced. so thats why i had to buy a parts car for the drivetrain. really i wouldnt ask for no more than $1000 cause they gonna spend at least $400 if they do the work their self. thats my opinion though.

I bought mine for $700, however it was way below fair condition when I got it. It didnt even have a tranny in it and was a bank repo , Engine was found to be sound though after I spent a few months collecting all the parts I needed. Even been pushing 12psi boost on it for awhile now

Well I asked $2k for the heck of it and got $1700, and I'm 99.9% sure it's a dealer that bought it.
I'm sure the next owner will end up getting burned, but I did all I could to fully disclose the issues when I posted and sold it.

As long as you fully disclosed any and all issues you know of with the vehicle then all is good your not screwing over anyone they know exactly what there getting.
