Exhaust Question

So i am still in the learning stages of cars and parts so sorry for the noob question. But i am looking into getting an SRS catback exhaust and i was wondering am i going to need to replace the headers as well? I am planning on getting aftermarket ones soon but i just want to know will i need to replace them at the same time the exhaust is done. Thank you for all help

Nope you don't need to get them at the same but you won't feel the gains till you get a header.

well in all seriousness tempest, he most likely won't see any gains at all, just a lot of noise. Which is totally cool in my book and that is the road I took. I love my loud car and I would never go back. hehe

If you are gonna go that route for just sound then u wont need a header but it you do want the power gain then yes buy a header but also take into concern of if ur gonna need 4-2-1 or 4-1 headers

You will not get any noticeable gains from a header or catback or both....its an econobox.

I don't know many more options to improve engine performance besides New Headers, exhaust, Intake, and A Turbo. Am I Wrong?

If you want power go big or go home. A turbo will give you the most gains. I'm willing to bet a stock lancer will win a race against a lancer with catback, header, & intake.

Hmmmm well you can also get: ported intake manifold, lighter flywheel, lighter crankshaft pulley, ported head, high compression pistons, bigger MAF and the list goes on and on
