Valve cover gasket

I have never changed a valve cover gasket ever and I believe I need to change mine because I have a small oil leak around the valve cover. I have te gaskets already I was just wondering if someone could give me step by step here. 02 lancer 2.0

Very easy. About 6 bolts and the throttle cable bolt pull up and you're gold. But you're going to want to change the spark tube gaskets too.

The most important part about the change is feeling how light the bolts are torque. Because if you over torque the valve cover you're screwed.

yeah those are like M6's or something, don't require a lot of torque...

So I changed the gasket today. Thanks for the help but I think I have a bigger problem now. The holes for where the screws go had small cracks already so I'm pretty sure the last owner really screwed it up. Looking for a replacement valve cover now but I'm pretty sure that's a dealer only part
