Has anyone done the interior console/dash swap??

I was wondering if anyone has done this conversion. I am interested in changing the old single cubby hole to the much nicer looking new consoles. The only change that I think may cause issues are the power outlet and RCA jacks.

Anyone with some info or suggestions would be helpful.

Just is case someone was wondering the console swap is possible and not actually very difficult. The only real issue I had was finding the one I was looking for. Which was still wrong because I was the carbon fiber looking one but the gloss black will work for now.

I originally had the console with the big cubby hole and RCA jacks that were all the way in the back.

This is what it looks like now.

Here are some pictures of the teardown.

What exactly are we pre-wired for?

Same question? Heated seats?

Very nice! I'm not a fan of the black gloss either. That said, I'm actually a fan of the open console in your second picture, first post. Don't get me wrong, I like having the nicer, two compartment console, but the open (single cubby) console would be a bit more funtional to store my wallet and other larger things.

I know exactly what you mean. I like it some respects also but I felt like going with the cleaner just closed cubby. Not to mention I think I'm going to buy Rick Chong's arm rest with extra storage. Now the next step is to find someone to trade or just buy the carbon fiber and sell the gloss black.

Rick Chong's Arm Rest

Nice! But $168? Damn that's pricey.

You should have seen the price a while back. evo soul installed this and when he bought it the arm rest was going for $250 shipped.

Here's the link to the review.
