is this a spare connector for a trailer hitch?
. on my 2009 Lancer, I noticed this plug connector on the rear left part of the trunk. Its clipped onto the ceiling and has about 8 to 10 wires.the reason I was interested in it, is if this is a trailer hitch connector, I can use it to power my license plate camera instead of splicing into the backup lights. Any idea what this is?
hard to tell from that angle. Its most likely for the rockfrod fosgate sub woofer and nothing to do with a trailer.
Why mistsu included a harness for a RF sub with out a harness under the seat for the RF amp on a non RF equipped lancer is beyond me.
get a meter and see if there is any power running through it. You might still be able to use it for what you're trying to do

The other nifty thing is that some of those wires have to be signal wires coming from the head unit, meaning I won't have to run that either.
anyone have a diagram of what the wires in this plug do?
