Lol that just covering it with other louder sounds...

 

Well I have the Magnaflow catback, and I'll tell you now it's loud as hell, no sneaking around for me, I think the injen intake makes it louder maybe, but it's definitely not quiet.


Here's a link for some diffusers as an example that will hide that bigass muffler.

Well look at that, it did it by itself, nifty. I would say that buying a new tip to keep the stock sound, which is the quietest I've heard, plus the diffuser to hide the muffler (and it just looks nicer regardless) will achieve the result you are looking for.

I am not sure, I may be mistaken but there could've been a bit of a change in the exhaust hanger configuration after 2011, I have noticed the exhaust/muffler set up on some of the newer lancers looks different than mine did (2009) when it was stock.


But this is just my observations, I could be mistaken. I just know that there were some changes in the 2012+ lancers. If no one else answers I would mebbe give a dealership or a reliable shop/parts store or the place you plan on purchasing from for information before ordering.
