How To: Painting the Grill Black
the one problem i keep having with mine is i keep gettin mad paint chips, and having resand n paint the grill..and it looks more and more like **** everytime i do it...if i clear coat it next time will it still chip?
I used Plasti-dip because of the way my paint was chipping on the bumper from stones. Its been on for about 2k miles now and its a lot easier to keep clean and it doesn't chip. Plus my car is black so i needed some sort of contrast to make the grill stand out a bit. Turned out great. Did the emblem too...looks much better than chrome i think.
i got it at auto zone...its just a rustolium bed liner spray...its cool becasue it has that texture to it now and is reall tough stuff...ive did it about 5 months ago and it hasnt chipped yet, and i dont think that it will
Its basically a paint on rubber coating, coming in a spray can. Similar to th truck bed liner stuff but i think the color is a little better. Its been on my car for about a month now. Looks great and holds up even better. No chips no scratches, rocks basically bounce right off doing no damage. I couldn't be happier with the outcome and having a black car, its a nice contrast and makes the painted area stand out a bit.
