New to the site, play nice...

Just read through. Great topic for me since Im a Mirage fan and am on my third one. I have a question and hope somone has an answer. Does the TB for the 4g94 fit on the 4g93 and visa versa? And if so what is the bore diameter for the '94?

hit me up on msn or or aim. Im from Spokane, WA and can help you out quite a bit with the Mirage.

msn - mirage4g93@hotmail.com
aim - roadrace rage

oh and I believe they are the same size. You would use either a 2g 52mm DSM tb or a 1g NA 60mm tb. The 1g requires using a 2g DSM tps though.

hmmm...

Thanks for the info. Yes Ive seen a 1g dsm TB installed on a 4g mirage but i wasnt sure ( tech.mirage-performance.com/60mmthrottlebody.html ). And I wasnt very impressed with the guys' use of jb weld. I work in a radiator shop and that is a no no. But you are on to something with the 2g tps. Ill check it out.

Ill be sure to hit you up sometime. I havent used my msn in a while... mine is bigmac_wes@hotmail.com.

If anyone is interested there is a Mitsubishi Lancer GSR Engine on Craigslist right now ( http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/pts/624862657.html ). 4g93T. Check it out!!

there should be no reason to use JB weld. All you do is usecoolant hose to bypass the tb coolant ant a 1g dam tb gasket the tb mounts using the factory bolts.

EDIT: Sorry I posted this from my phone and didn't really proofread. Damned Iphone.

Correct::

There should be no reason to use JB Weld. All you do is use coolant hose to bypass the tb coolant and a 1g DSM tb gasket on the tb and the tb then mounts up using the 4 factory bolts.

?

Ok now heres another one. What about a Tb from a 3.0L 3000GT/Stealth? They look very similar to the 1g and 2g eclipse Tbs. I havent been able to find one for comparison yet, but maybe you know? In the meantime Ill be looking around...

Never even looked at one because the 1g 60mm is as big as you really can go with the limitations on the intake manifold. boring it to 60mm leaves only a little material as it is.

I hava an 03 Lancer ES had a blown 2.0 liter the 4G94 engine, i bought a junkyard replacement, turns out that the engine was from an 01 Mirage the 4G93... the engine went into the car perfectly although had to do some fitment on the bolts on the passsnger side, change the camshaft sensor... and change the crankshaft sensor as well as the intake man and the exhaust man.... everything wired as itshould be but im getting a camshaft and crank error on the computer as the car will turn over but not run... is there any thing else i need to change? i hope i can use this engine as im stuck with it and dont know where to go with it at this point ,HELP!!!!

Thumbs up

the Mirage ECU should connect to the existing wiriing already in the Lancer?? Just wanna be sure .. I called and that ECU is a few hundred but worth it.. and everything should work?

ok this is odd... and correct me here , the yard i called is showing the same exact part number for the ecu for both the lancer and the mirage.. this doesnt make sense... but another issue they are telling me is that im still running the lancer trans (auto) with the mirage engine... i really need some input here , aparently u guys know ur shtuff :-) just want to get this right... thanks again guys

It should if your car is an 01 up. I know the 97 and 98 have a different style ECU pinout.
