iPad + JB + iPhone JB + Mounted = awesome?
So Ive been out of the audio scene for a long time, since I installed my iPod adapter in like 06-07.
I saw this link today.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSnIX...layer_embedded
I started salivating at the idea.
As long as you're not driving through Canada, and MiWi (use your iphones internet connection, if you're not an apple geek like me) and use the iPad as a GPS, use pandora, groove shark, google directions on and on.
In all of my excitement though, I failed to realize that if I take out my head unit, whats going to my speakers? Chances are, zero.
Does anyone have a clue how tough this is going to be? The fabrication on our dash units would not be too tough IMO, but I wanted to get some second opinions before I dove into this head first this summer.
I don't want to blast my tunes real loud or anything, so I don't really want more than stock loud. So an amp really isnt on my list of wants. Kinda looking more basic than anything I guess.
So Im looking for awesome, or awesome lite.
to mods:
Im unsure of the policy on embeding youtube, if this wasnt done right, could you correct me and tell me what I should do in the future?

That would be awesome, but Sin my neighborhood, it would definitely be gone in one night
It might be easier to mount an ipod in the vent or something. if you have a deck with USB, just mount the ipod in the vent and run the cable through the dash to the usb port on the head unit.

I thought the same thing. But it detaches. Put it in your laptop bag and you're good.

Oh nice.
I have an iphone dock that hooks to the vent to the left of the head unit and run the usb cable to my head unit. it's nice to be able to control my music from my iphone. and i i get a text or something, it's easy to read right beside my steering wheel.
