if he gets both the front and back is300 lights then your car will pretty much look like an is300.

 

^^^ true, since the lancer body resembles the is300 REALLY REALLY CLOSE.

 

yes the is300 and lancer bodies are really close in shape and design. and my car may end up looking like an is300, but im okay wiht that, i tkinda looks like one now. as you said they are close in looks. i am also going to be doing a few other exterior changes to the lancer so get ready to see some crazy **** coming from sleek next year, or sooner if things go a little fster than they are now. but either way before the end of next year you guys will be able to see my car adn most of you probably wont like it but thats okay, i will like it.

 

Things missing to make the lancer look like an IS 300:

- Headlights
- Taillights
- 3-5 inches in width (of the entire vehicle)
- 3" in wheelbase
- Wider rims (wider tires in general)
- HID's

All those and much more would be required to make the lancer look like an IS 300. Also alot of engine power is required to even make it remotely as fast as the IS300 (you would need a turbo at the very least).

 

but main appearance is pretty close. and the tail and head light swap is going to be done. im not doing any of that other stuff though. but im not trying to make it look exactly like one i just like the lights

 

lol...i cant stand readin arguements...but ya the conversion of a is300 = ugly i chopped jus the circular lights onto the trunk in my paint program n it looks good but u got to cut into the trunk lines and then u wouldnt be usin the same circular lights cuz u got to get em custom made to match body lines...if not your makin it look ugly. and convertin it to a is300 is pointless cuz it isnt one first of all but also a waste of money jus fillin up your car with more weight and losin lots of money on trade in. your car will be worth crap... and yes it is rice cuz you arent going to make your car a is300 when it isnt goin to match up its gonna look like sloth with make up not the swan when they get a makeover n move small parts to make them look better....difference is... sloth w/ make up (choppin n ****) swan (rims, kit, mods) our lancers arent even out enough period to do something stupid as that... how many hooked up lancers are there? n how many civics r there? civics got a reason... cuz they will always be the same...our lancers can be better planned out. thas why we got good mods. cf trunks, hoods, a pillars for gauges all for better performance not like civics pullin off a skyline kit or m3's why make ur car suttin it aint...be realistic...why u buy ur car to make it look different...why didnt u get a 89 ford festiva n make it a lancer? then now u got a "lancer" then convert it to a is300 ...what do u have? SAME CRAP!!! lancer is lancer is300 is is300 keep the one you have or buy anotha car like kareem is tryin to prove. u arent enhancin your damagin...

try to convert it into a lexus is300.. lets see what others will say when they see a mitsu emblem on the back of your car. or are you gonna debadge it to fool people you're driving a lexus? while you're at it, drop a NA supra engine in there and make the car RWD..

but, I wouldn't down someone who customized their car improving the looks of the car, hell the my lancer grill looks so nasty with that chrome shiet on it... and the 2004 looks worse looks like it ran into a sunfire...
so if someone was able to improve the look the hell go for it...
just in good taste... I'd say the lumina look alright, cept for that nasty *** hood...
but thats my opinion... IMO that hood is the ugliest hood anyone ever made, and who ever made that hood should be dragged into the streets and shot...
but again thats my opinion...

body kits are fine to... only if it matches a car....

ummm but your not switching the original outlines BLAH!!! like the evo7 conversion does...in a way. but its still keeping the original outlines not like hey ima make my lancer into a jeep cherokee u cant shape it into that... n if u do the tailights like that no matter what ur gonna tell... if u get altezzas ur still keepin the same structure not makin it dif. cuz if u did it wouldnt fit..n it wouldnt look good. they should jus make one car in the whole world...then everythin else would be afgtermarket...here you go sir. your frame as you ordered 16,000 is your bill go mod your pos! n by the way if ur gon mess up a lancer make it either a 2dr or make it into a truck...thas original n it wont look ugly...

 

you are telling me that a lancer made into a truck would look good. thats crazy. im with redozrally, everyone does what they do to their vehicle because thats what they want to do. i mean why put a turbo on your lancer, why not just buy an evo. i dont understand how changing something is bad. if i want my car to have is300 headlights or taillights im gonna f-ing put some one there. if i want it to have a roof scoop, ill put one of those on it too. im not going to do a roof scoop but im just saying. i dont see the difference in changing headlights or taillights and putting a different hood on their.

my main point is that i dont want to do the same thing that everyone else has already done, i.e. bodykit, wing, cf hood and trunk. i would rather do something that no one else has done to their lancer. i like to be different and if that means doing something off hte wall and extremely crazy, then that is what im going to do. thats just how i am. i have the money and i have the talent and time. so im going to do it. the thing is that if i bought an is300 instead i proabbly would be having a conversation almost exactly like this one on an is300 forum because i would want to change my is300 to make it different and everyone else would call me crazy. so i guess i am.

 

since you have money and time and want to do something no one else has done, do a 'sleek concepts custom widebody' .. you could also retrofit projectors into your headlights if you want too. with money, you can do anything.. particularly, you can do something original.. dont do something to make it look like another car.

 

i actually started a widebody on my car. but i ended up changing the design about half way through the build. but obvioulsy you know that. i am going to be molding evo fenders onto my lancer i think now. im really not exactly sure about that. dont worry my car is going to be very original when it is done. im not doing something to make my car look like another car i am doing something that i think is a nice addition to the car to make it look different than it does now.
