has any1 o here done or seen a taillight converstion? if so post pics! i am thinking about doin a rear taillight converstion i like tha honda s2000 lights! or tha lexus is300 lights

 

IS 300 lights would look pretty damn sick bro!
Who cares if you havnt seen it, go to a custom shop and get it done. now.

yeah I wouldnt put in IS300 ones.. I'd put in supra lights. oh yeah.

 

kinda of topic. my buddies 94 accord coupe has IS300 tails. it looks pretty cool. I think it would look good on a lancer. you just gotta make sure the geometry of it it right. gotta make sure the body lines line up.

 

put them evo viii lights on there...forget the rest...

 

did your buddy drill holes in the trunk then for the lights?

i have done a acura integra taillights into chevy lumina conversion. pics here of lumina, www.cardomain.com/id/mattsz34. i am also going to be doing the is300 taillights on my lancer fairly soon. also is300 headlights on my lancer. i have seen s2k taillights on a few cars, but hte one that stands out the most is s2k tails on a 95 toyota corolla. dont remember where i saw the pics but i thought that was pretty crazy.

imo molding tailights and headlights into a car is rice.but its your car. if your gonna do it at least use mistu parts. evo 8 conversion would be better

 

man i have noticed on this site that no matter what you do it is considered rice. how can you be different in a sport where different is what you strive for, if everything that you do to be different is wrong??? that doesnt make any sense. the best way to win competitions and get the best looks on the street is to have the best, most different looking ride, am i right??? if all you do is bolt on a body kit, you havent doen anything different. rice is doing stupid things to your car like stickers for **** you dont even have, or thinking you are cool because you painted your mirrors and doorhandles a different color than your car. customization is about being different and doing so in a very original and tasteful way. light conversions are good as long as you dont do the same one that everyone else is doing, i.e. supra. but i guess to each his own.

 

oh yeah, thanks army for the compement on the lumina. i think that car turned out really good. we had a few problems with paint but we got it done. i would say that i could do the is300 light swap for you if you want but you are pretty far away.. if you are willing to travel to florida for about a month or so i could probably have your car converted and painted, haha. but i know thats a pretty crazy idea.

One of the definitions of rice is trying to make ur car something it's not... In this case putting IS300 tails on a lancer is trying to make it like an IS300... someone was asking about the IS300 front end conversion.... that is also rice. If you like the IS300 then sell your lancer and buy one, dont just do a half assed job and just mold it's tail lights into ur car. I dont have anything against modifying the show aspect of cars, but what really gets to me is when people try to make their cars something it isnt...

 

mayb people just like doing it cause its a hobby and its fun and i is something differnt!!!! did u ever think that????? mayb some people cant afford an is300 payment or tha insurance also! did u ever think of that also! every1 has a reason 4 something!
