Redoing ES interior *pics

hey guys, thought I'd just post a few pics of one of my latest projects. I took out my ugly light grey ES carpet and replaced it with a charcoal one from an evo along with a few other interior pieces from an evo. Im also painting the whole interior black and black cherry so I'll post pics when I'm done with that.

Heres a few pics of my old interior setup:

The carpet out:

The new stuff: carpet, evo hand brake, shifter console, b pillars...

I didnt just remove the handle/cover. I removed the entire ES handbrake and installed an evo one. Just undo the mounting bolts to the floor. Put the handbrake in the unlock position so that you lessen the tension on the cable. Unhook where the cable connects to the handbrake and take off the old ebrake. Then reverse the steps to install the new one.

One of the pics above shows the evo ebrake with the interior stripped. There's 3 bolts that go into the floor holding the entire assembly in place. Just remove them and it comes right out.

If a bunch of people are thinking they'd like to do this I'd be willing to write a more in depth how to, but once you get a good look at it, its really self explanitory.

the dealership might have been telling the truth about the ebrake. I didnt see any part that looked like it unscrewed or came loose. But then again I have seen people with momo ebrake handle covers, so it probably is. I just dont know the secret.

If you like send me a pm and I'll direct you to the guy I got it through. He buys alot of wrecked evos and parts out the interiors. (he rally races so he takes all the good mechanical parts he needs)

But he's resonable on price too, I got the ebrake assembly, the lower b pillars, the whole shifter console, the armrest, both ashtrays and the center console for $145 shipped. Mind you they're not in perfect condition but they're pretty good and now I've got back up pieces incase I break somthing.

*And I'd love to install all my parts....there just aren't enough hours in the day
