I want to do this too...
So instead of getting a resister, relay, etc, you just added extra wire and it worked fine?

pretty much. Has been working fine for about a year now... I also have the mirrors with the turn signals so that may be effecting it as well...

yes, I have a new set of wires hooked to a switch next to the interior light switch for the daytime running lights...
the front turn signal wires went to the side marker lights...
and the side marker lights are covered with electrical tape...

are you suggesting that I try to put dummie lights on the taped off set of wires to off-set the electrical load?...
if so, that's a helluva idea that will most likely fix it... (i shoulda came up with that)

gonna try it tomorrow and see what happens... thanks

I think I need a pic of what you are talking about... Side markers lights covered with electrical tape? Also, if you disconnected a turning light, that'll make it blink faster too.

i did the same thing to my OZ a couple weeks ago. all i had to do was find an 1157(dual filament) socket and harness, then i wired the bright filament wires into the existing wires running to the signal (power and ground) then i jumped the power wire for the dim filament over to the corner light harness. now my signals up front stay lit as parking lights, and flash for signals as they originally did. took me all of 10 minutes to do and it looks great

I didn't even think about doing it that way, I just made them constants...

basicly the wires that go to the parking lights on the side are taped off and not used in my turn-to-daytime set up...

I'll get a pic as soon as I can...

Well that may be why they're blinking so fast... It basically acts as if you have burnt out bulb...
