Steering wheel spacer

Does anyone know if steering wheel spacers actually work??? I would like to have one in my car but without buying an aftermarket steering wheel or hub adapter.

Anyone, who disassembled their steering wheel?

So, why? Just to get the steering wheel closer to you?

The normal use for those is to put the aftermarket (generally smaller, with no airbag) steering wheel in the stock location, last I checked...

Do you mean you want to put a spacer in your stock wheel? Or am I off?

I thought you said the hub was going to take a few weeks to come in.

Yes, I do want the stock steering wheel closer to me! I was wondering if it's possible. Why? Because I always like to sit far from the pedals and it's hard to hold the steering wheel like that. Just something to make myself comfortable.

i'd kinda like to move mine closer too... but i'm getting an aftermarket wheel, so it's kinda pointless... but for us with longer legs... with the steering wheel in the stock location, i can't have my feet on the pedals without my knees on the wheel... even with the wheel positioned all the way up.

This guy was cool enough to send it "2-Day shipping" through FedEx, since I told 'em that everyone else (Z-1, and the other guys) where Out of Stock, and w/ all the trouble I went through with Sparco sending the wrong hub...

Thanks for clarifying. I don't know the answer, but I wanted to understand the question.

I've been wanting to do the same thing for a while. Rotora sells a spacer that is supposed to work with all Momo wheels. Since the stock wheel is made by Momo they told me it would work with the stock one too, but after getting the adapter and looking at pics of the stock wheel assembly, I do not think it will work. I have not found an alternative yet.
