Hey, i just ordered an apex kit, it hasn't arrived yet, but if it does and there is ANY thing wrong with it, i will yell. I'm 18, and don't have a few thousand dollars to make a kit fit on a car that is supposed to fit already. I don't like their customer service as it is, but i will have an open mind about the kit. I have not heard ONE good thing about shark racing or accolade. Please, correct me if i'm wrong about that.

 

Zapco, I have the exact side skirts that you have now. They had to be cut into five pieces and molded on peice by piece. My other side skirts fit perfectly. They gave you the wrong ones. You should have recieved ones like mine, that fit perfectly. Definately complain to them. PM or IM me if you've got any questions and I might be able to help you out.

 

UPDATE: 3/27/03 - ALL Pieces were modified to fit the Lancer. Fortunately, I was lucky enough in which I did not have to throw away any of the bad pieces. Skirts were completely altered to fit the body of the Lancer, bumpers were changed a bit, as well as the rear bumper, and the hood(shaved down to size). Now classifying my kit as a "Finelines Kit", since no one will have the exact same thing as me.

Update on Accolade's customer service: Enough is said on how embarrassed they must be by what myself and ozrallyguy have gone through. I don't see them trying to defend themselves now that it is proven they messed up. They don't care about us, flat out, they got our money, it's all that's important, I do not expect them to lay out any kind of reimbursement, but rest assure, it WILL effect their business in the future.

To all of those who are waiting for their order still, I wish you the best of luck and hope everything turns out okay. I will have pictures of the kit once it's all repainted, right now we are just as the point of making everything fit properly. Further updates on the way in the beginning/middle of next week.

 

hey whats up, I also have the apex kit. Mine was in good shape and everything but nothing was direct fit, right now it's all siting in my garage just waiting form me to save up more maney. My hood looks fine no waves or anything but I'm going to have bore out my brackets some so I slide it to the left so the hood will close and on my front bumper I'm going to have to get extra fiber glass added on the part that screws in so it wont crack. my side skirts are going to be a pain in the *** and I dont even want to talk about the rear bumper, but hey my spoiler and eye lids are a ok. All in all yes I am pissed but what do you expect it's from Sri Lanka (no offense to any body from there)

 

i hope i dont have to completely modify this kit like you did zapco. i guess ill know like tues. or wed.

 

Yet another victim of Accolade's Kindergarten Art Class Project. I am sorry bro. I wish both you, and ozrallyguy best of luck! I think we should seriously get something together and fight against these guys. It is totally not right.

 

Damn that really sucks about those kits they look so hot. Wish Kaminari had a similar kit they would make a fortune. I want a kit but refuse to pay for anything that can be problematic.

 

Hey Zapco, I'm all up for a law suit right now as I type I'm talking to a rep. to let me know what kind files I can press and if I can get reimbursed or get them to pay for it to get fixed. I'll let you know whats up soon. Hey if you can talk to a local law office and see what they have to say

 

hey zapco. my kit also doesnt fit as i found out today it will have to be cut into four pieces and put back together(front bumper) just to fit my lancer. the shop hasnt tried to fit the side skirts or rear bumper yet. well see how that works this is complete bull****!! im ready for some legal action but im always so busy its hard to find time just to tell you this. are there any stateside body kits yet besides kaminari? i may just scrap this one and buy a new one. lets do everything we can to make accolade lose as much business as possible. diran/dinan2000 is a flat out liar. he knows they are selling ****.

okay hobie, ill just ask that all of us that are having these problems do our civil duties to prevent the same thing from happining to one of our follow evolutionm ers keep posting oz rally and zapco. every day keep us informed on what youre going through.

 

Hopefully your problems come to favorable resolutions and they don't happen to anyone else. Sounds like a plan.

Update: 3/28/03. Makeover is almost complete, car is up in the paint room now, should get the car back with pics by Wednesday the latest. Hopefully Monday night or Tuesday morning. Pics will be taken with the old graphics torn off, as the car had to get repainted. So yes, ZapcoLancer WILL be in Englishtown, NJ on April 6th for Survivor Series #1. Unfortunately not enough time for me to put on my new graphics but oh well. Poop happens.
