Apex Body Kit Problems!?!?! Read
Okay, as most of you are aware, my apex kit was put on(well most of the pieces). The Lancer went back into the shop Tuesday for the rear bumper to go on(had to take the WHOLE entire system out of the trunk for them to remove stock bumper), the hood, and the spoiler. It turns out, unfortunately for me, that the hood, the spoiler, and I was also told that the side skirts also, were NOT a direct replacement. Now, I know there are many people who have purchased and installed the Apex kit with no modifications, however, I am assuming I got a bad mold job. The skirts are/were about an inch short of fitting perfectly. the spoiler had NO Moldings to even put the center piece onto the side pieces(sorry don't know exact terminology). I was then told to look at the hood. I peered down the side of the hood to see that it was VISIBLY wavy. It was not smooth, but in fact, extremely wavy going all the way down the side, and not only that, but the hood wouldn't even close right, as if it were too big for the car. This is the reasoning why I had to purchase a new evo 7 spoiler, because not only was it cracked, but it had no moldings on it. The car is expected to be there for about another week. They are doing extreme modifications to the hood, and skirts, to make it fit on the car nicely. I have not heard from them in the passed 2 days so I am assuming they are doing whatever they can to save my kit. Has anyone else had any other problems with this supposedly "direct replacement" kit? Because I sure as hell seem to be the only guy who has had a problem with it. I am quite upset, especially after waiting months for it to even get to me. I had contacted Accolade about this, and the gentlemen on the phone had laughed at me and hung up, never answering any of my calls after that. I had contacted Diran via email, as he was always treated me with good service and respect, and he told me to take pictures for them to replace the pieces for me. The thing is though, I do not want to wait months to get these replacement pieces in. So in the long run, I bit into the sour apple big time, and am paying for it. And to anyone who might be at Survivor Series #1 in Englishtown, NJ April 6th, well, my car may not be there as expected to be, unfortunately. I am going to the body shop on Monday to take pics and drop off the new spoiler I had purchased from Calvin(is his spoilers good quality by the way, I've heard bad things?). I will show everyone before and after shots of the hood(worst piece of all), and hopefully the side skirts if they are done by then. He promises me he will make it look awesome, but it will just take some time and some more $$$$. But as I asked above, has anyone else had any problems whatsoever, with the hood, or skirts from the apex kit, or am I the only one? =/ Kind of sucks if I am, and is there anything else really I can do???
Will keep everyone posted, should have some good news on Monday if "surgery" went well!

Another story to go in the disappointment file for Accolade. Sorry to hear that, man. I thought for sure your body kit would help get Accolade's rep back on the right track. Guess not.
I hope you can still get your car into the show too.

Don't get me wrong, ghostrider, I am not trying to bash Accolade, it could just be an honest mistake, no one is perfect, ya know? I just don't know how to go about this mistake, is all? I guess I'll just take it in the chin and see what happens. I mean, I was the only person so far who has had a problem with the Apex kit installation, 2 point 0, has it on, just not 100% sure if he had to mod it either or not, been waiting to hear from him. My skirts look different then his anyway, his goes straight across into the wheel well, mine comes up a bit more and into, that's the part where it's causing a problem. It seems to be two different style skirts from the naked eye. I don't know though, at this point, no one knows, but like I said, I am not posting to bash anyone or any one person, just trying to get some advice, and give people a heads up if they are looking to invest?
Point well taken, and let me clear my stance as well. I didn't mean to bash Accolade in any way. I am a firm believer that the product will always do the most important talking when it comes to companies.
I just hate to hear another bad luck story when it comes to their kits. Honestly, even before I bought my Lancer I had contacted them about getting a body kit. That's how much I dig their styles. But as time keeps moving, more complaints keep piling up, and it's hard to part with that amount of money with that kind of rep.

Do any of these companies have quality control? It boggles my mind to think a company would make something that with the naked eye looks defective. But to then put that in a box and send it to someone who's been waiting for a very long time only to let him "take it on the chin" is just wrong. Zap if you were lucky enough to pay with a credit card for this. Stop payment on it get statements from everyone at the shop and then sue their asses.
PS. Calvin has also not had good luck this month. There is an article in Vendor Review you need to read as it is about his spoilers.

yo zapcolancer, do your sideskirts look like this . . . http://www.body-kit.com/apex8.html . . . or like this . . . http://www.body-kit.com/napex01.html . . . notice how the sideskirts in the first link has an opening in them toward the rear, and in the second link, the sideskirts dont have that opening.
Pls verify

Okay, the skirts I have are http://www.body-kit.com/napex01.html
However, I do have the vent in the back as in the first picture. It's like a mix of the two. Dinan2000, I wasn't posting here to hurt anyone's rep, I was merely trying to post to get some help. I am not going to do anything from you, as it would take months to even get my replacements from you. I should just get in touch with BBB. I am taking it as an honest mistake, and I am getting pictures on Monday to show the people, and also a tape recording transmitted into a sound file of the phone call I had with you 3 days ago. From there, we will see how well your sales staff assisted me. I wasn't asking for technical help, I wanted a REAL person to talk to, as I have spent thousands of dollars as it is, and email messages just weren't cutting it. I hope I made things a little more clear.
