Choosing a body kit

I'm thinking about buying a new body kit and wanted to find the most popular or most reliable ones out there.
Here's my dilemna: College student at a crazy expensive private school is definitely killing my wallet. I dont know what mods i should start off with. I'm a crazy *** newb to all of this.
I was first thinking of getting 17' rims, but now im thinking the stock OZ's are good enough to get by for a little while. I want to get a full body kit cuz i know a guy who will paint it for under a grand; 400-700 depending on how large the kit is.
I was thinking of a Kaminari or maybe a Walker kit (but it seems too big) Does anyone know if a Kaminari kit on an OZ with the stock OZ's look good?

I also got a free muffler from a family friend and was wondering how much i should pay to put it on. Midas wants to put a custom pipe in and all for $120. Should i just save up for a cat and then pay them to put the cat/pipe/muffler on?

If anything: can anyone post a list of kits/possibly where to obtain them (whether online or from a shop (preferably in the NJ area)/ with a rough price list?

I got a tg 03 oz rally (about to buy cf tail lights and maybe cf headlights online tonight (tyc)).

ok im gonna say it before someone else says it in a meaner way If you use the advanced search function and put in "bodykit" for the US Lancer section of the forums youll find all the info you need. There are about 7-8 differnt bodykit for our cars and im sure youll find one you like. Go to RoadRaceMotorsports.com (RRM) for your tuning needs, they have EVERYTHING for our rides and are really good guys. As for the rims stick to your stock 15s for now. They are the right size and wont rob HP. Better tires might be a good upgrade though. Goodluck with your ride.

What kind of muffler is it, is it a bolt on or one that needs to be welded?

PLEASE don't buy that walker kit. Ugliest thing ever...

This has been covered many times, you must serach or you could be flamed to death...

I am not a big fan of Kaminari or Walker... RRM's K2 and Evo VII conversions are good looking and perfect fitting kits. www.roadracemotorsports.com

DO NOT purchase anything from accolade

If you want a body kit that actually fits, go for either an RRM kit or the Kaminari kit.

as for searching, i was trying to set up a more or less, compiled list, something clean and cut for other newbs to use too.

when i did a search, i found a lot of crap that went off topic or was mostly about how much accolade sucks (or doesnt suck).

walker kit is horrible.... belive me! had the hole kit and now im just down to the front end... untill i get a chance to change that! i love the look of the accolade evo vii kit but heard plenty of bad stories about them... just make sure to take your time when choosin so u get the exact one u want! i personally wish i left the stock look!

www.roadracemotorsports.com - k2, cf evo vii, evo vii kits
http://www.kaminari.com/products/02Lancer.htm - kaminari

Those are you only quality choices..

I personally think the stock lancer front bumper looks good, and a front lip from RMR looks better and is more cost effective.. but that's just me.

www.body-kit.com we have the most designs, and the vast majority of kit buyers choose accolade..

My personal preferance is the kaminari kit.

it looks 100% better than the orange-ish color they have advertised on the official site.
if you look through the registry, you will notice it looks bloody tight

Quality over quantity, I always say. I would rather bang a hot chick than bang 2 fat ugly ones!
