Well there are plenty of people who simply do it for the street speed, not everyone wants to go ***** first around some cones or go through a set of tires every two months at the drag.

 

Well no you are not a moron if you have a turbo and no I dont think that the lancer is the slowest on the road. I do drive around fast just about everyehere I go but when I said that people who raced thier lancers were morons I was talkin about draging in an non-turbo lancer. I can out corner a lot of people. The last time I raced my car it was around the high school at about 2 am. It was my friend in his cavilier, makes about 150hp, without spraying, and eibach sportlines. I actually stayed with him. So no the lancer is not bad around the corners. Gosh everyone is making me the bad guy for saying that lancers are slow. Oh yeah isint this thread for the EvoVIII replica bodykit?

Dreamlike1 - no one could care less what you think of what us lancer owners do, as i'm sure people with porsche's or Lambos are sitting there looking at you calling you a *** for buying an evo. Theres always a better car out there than what you have, no matter if you have a pinto or a lambo. So why **** on the guys below you? Actually, me and a friend were talking about that. He is like Gandalf when it comes to bondo...I figure Take some fiberglass (or part of the evo8 bumper) and bondo it to the grill thing. It sounds redneck like, but I have it all pictured and planned out in my head the only problem is...finding the right materials.

We're gonna try it on my lancer...if it looks good, great, we might even start doing it for others, but if it doesn't, new bumper for me lol.

 

One problem. The evo 8 bumper is a lot wider than the lancer bumper so you would have to cut a section out of the middle. Harder than it sounds.

 

I actually was gonna buy or get an evo bumper from a friend of mine; but i never got it - and yeah i had planned on cutting the middle a little to shorten it..
