duude, for real. i know i dont drive a damn evo, i just like the looks of them - if it's possible to attain that, i will. i sure as hell don't race my lancer no point, like you said.

 

and..uhh, what is accolade's response to my post? they have gone into hibernation it seems....you can't make mistakes like that.

 

I understand where you are comming from...but you do have to realize that some people don't have the money to spend on an evo...and some people just like working on a car that they can afford throwing money here and there at...oh and i personally am not trying to imitate an evo...the only thing that i am going to have that relates is prob a turbo!

 

Sadly I have to agree with the evo owners, I find the whole "poser" body kit thing kinda stupid. I'm sure we'd all laugh if an integra had a R32 body kit on it, or if a neon had an evo 5 body kit on it, so why not do the same to people who try to make the lancer look like an evo? I just don't get it, just because it looks like an evo doesn't mean its an evo. First and foremost, the lancer just can't pull off the look, it's too skinny. Part of what makes the evo look so good is how wide it is, it looks very aggressive and the bumper works along with that image. On a lancer it just looks silly. It's like an ugly chick dressing up like Britney Spears, sure they may have the clothes, but I sure as wouldn't have sex with them. IMO, the best body kit for the lancer is the stock OZ lip kit, it flows nicely with the car and isn't overdone.

 

Why do people always get bent when someone wants a kit that looks like an evo 8.Nobodies ever bent when people post pics of their evo 7 kit/techsport/extreme...I just don't get it, I guess it's ok to look a evo 7 just not an evo 8.

 

I'm fairly certain I've said the same thing about the evo 7 conversion as well.

I like my k style kit,Just sometimes you just get bored and look for another style...

 

or the people who can afford an evo but can't get one due to the damn *@&^$*@ laws.

Stereotypical evo owner? LOL can we say jealousy?? I have plenty of experience on a closed race course, but i doubt you know anything about that.

I'm just pissed that people try to copy the look of the evo onto the lancer, because I know that there are people out there that will mistake it for an evo. Then when you get blown away by a civic with a fart can, he will start raving about how he "smoked an evo". Basically you are giving evo's the image of a ricer car.

Some of you are making the argument "i just want to be seen and heard" That is the epitome of RICE. If you want to be seen slap some F*ING stickers on your car, buy a fake BOV, and install a fart can. People will certainly see you then right?
