I would say if you have a non painted cf hood like mine go with CF. If you paint the sides like you did on the Seibon hood then go with painted... I guess my rule of thumb is match it with the hood so it flows. imo

why would putting eyelids on and later blacking out your headlights be a waste of money? you don't even have to adhere the eyelids to your headlight, you can just put them on and shut the hood and it holds them down tightly.

I had said earlier I went to www.paintscratch.com and ordered the spray kit of Y01 to do it myself. Easy as pie, showroom quality finish.

hahaha.... yea, if you want them falling off. It does not hold them tightly; you can easily slip them right back out. You have to use 3M double sided foam sticky tape, or glue them somehow.

a stock hood does hold them down because of the rubber peice above the headlight.if they arnt flush some nice highway wind could rip them out. Like wiretap said, you need to dbl sided tape them down or glue them. (most people use dbl sided tape).

With an aftermarket carbon fiber hood it doesnt have the rubber peice so nothing is pushing down..

+1... plus when I was test fitting mine before paint, I closed the hood on them, and there is barely any pressure exerted on them, even with that black rubber piece pushing on them. It only took a pinky finger to pull them out. I don't know, I just wouldn't want to lose my eyelids when reaching speeds where the wind would just get underneath and pull them out. =/

Pretty hard to come by nowadays. I would just say try ebay or the for sale sections in the forums
