i got some metal bent up and i welded a tab for my rubber stoppers to hold the boot up, and on that i put a piece of metal to slide into the boot arm hinged by a bolt

all locks up with a pin

Trunk setup...

You should consider putting together a how-to guide and posting it online here as another clean way of doing things. Personally, I think yours and mine are probably the best looking methods. I think that your setup makes for less potential raise in the trunk. You said you welded it... I didn't do any welding on mine. Wondering if you think it would possible to not have to weld the pieces... given not everyone has access to such equipment. ???

My method DIY guide online here... if you wanted to compare methods, etc.

i made 10 sets and sold every one of them, metal all pressed into shape, no welding involved
very simple and easy to make, just a matter of getting the metal bent up at a sheet metal shop, a couple of bolts and a rubber stopper

sorry guys, havent replied for ages

heres whats been happening, i changed jobs and have had finacial problems of late so the car stopped to a halt for a month or 2. now the money is rolling back in and she is ready for paint and new rims. just gotta save enough money lol

progress since last post

removed boot installed, got sick of subs, gave em too the missus
and i also removed the boot hinges werent working well, boot lid hitting my rear bar and seeing i have no boot install to show off its sorta pointless

Alot of trimming, glassing has been done, not noticeble in pics and too many to list, nearly every panel has been trimmed, sanded, to suit
front driving lights installed in a custom pods giving them a recessed look
remounted front fenders, front bar now sits flush
Rims i gave to the missus as a present so i have me trusty 16"s back on

I have made alot of stuff for the car, see below

hers some pics of stuff

VG i made, on me car in primer

Whiteline Rear Strut bar

Some things i fabricated

adjustable rear lower arm bar

Front Lower Arm H Brace
(i previously made just a front lower arm bar but was not strong ehough)

V Brace

Radiator shroud and Spotlights installed

Catch Can

Rear wheel well

all made by me, i have been very busy, and all material cost me nothing
the cars handling is insane, feels like its driving on rails!! Cant wait till the next track day

sway bar on the way, b pillar floor brace i mocked up (not sure if i will use it)
Heavy Duty Clutch on the cards too

cheers
Rob

not to bad. it has potential.

Get that thing painted. And also work on the wheel offset so the wheels stick out more and match up with the widebody
