Cool Replace Clock display with... what?

Plan on removing the LCD Clock display because im buying a head unit soon that *Should* have one (havent picked it out yet) Looking for suggestions on what i should replace it with,

i was thinking of taking the display for a police radar/lasergun detector and mounting it somehow so i can put the display there, or perhaps a laser distance detecter in the grill, with the display there, so i can tailgate people with pinpoint accuracy.

Anything stupid like that, just looking for a project that would be neat and different, Thanks!

No prob, new post button is on top left of forum display, read around first though, people can get nasty about posting questions that are answerd elsewhere, especially ones about how to use the forums.

Welcome though!

One of the guys down here with an Evo (JB) put an A/F guage in where the clock is and it looks pretty freakin sweet. I wouldn't put a radar detector in there because they need to be put in a place where there is a clear shot forward and behind to pick up the signal as fast as possible. That's what it says to do in the manuals for all of the ones I have read so I wouldn't mess with it and expect it to pick up bogies easily...

I plan on taking it appart, leaving the Detector area mounted somewhere else, with the Display transplanted into the dash, so that way it can still pick up the signal, but has the Original stock look (so when i get pulled over i wont get yelled at for having it)

Something like this:
