i just got some and they dont have the 3m tape on the back.. where do i get it at and what preparations to the headlight do i need to make before putting on??

 

Go to Wal-Mart in the school supplies. They have some that is strong enough to hold 2 pounds with a 1 inch square.

Just make sure that you clean the head light really good with some alcohol or such.

First scuff down the lights and eyelids were you will be placing the tape with a scotch brite pad then wipe away any particles with rubbing alcohol.

 

I wouldnt even scuff it encase you ever want to just remove them. I just cleaned the lights real well. I bought my 3M foam tape at a hardware store. First time I installed them it was chilly so I heated the tape up with a blowdryer right before I put it on the headlight so it adhered better. Like was said in your other thread. Hold pressure on it for a minute or so. For the next few drives check them. push them down if needed until the tape takes hold.

 

use some compound on the headlight. slowly do circles and it'll clean it nicely. Good way to clean your headlights.. if you have some compound laying around..lol. Then get some rubbing alcohol and clean the entire surface. And stick away!

 

Where did you get the eyelids and for how much

 

I got some eyelids... I don't plan on using them.

but anyway, im done needing help, thanks all.. i used the clear foam tape from 3M, looks better than the other one because the white foam you can see at an angle.. it looks pretty good now, much better than stock, MUCH
