Sorry for the double post but I just have to ask another question about the 3rd brake light...will a 05 lancer ES rear panel and brake light fit perfectly in a 02 lancer OZ?

Also I have my rear window tinted...will I need to cut a piece of tint out or what exactly?

He has the inside part black, and you should do it too, especially with black tails and tint. It would look great. The rea light should fit fine since all interiors are the same. And you should be fine with the tint, the lights are bright enough to shine through, unless after you get it, you think its not bright enough, then slice out the spot of the tint.

Well, just dropped the car off today so now begins the waiting game.

I told them to do the inside of the spoiler black so the outside parts will stay silver. My VG will be black as well...I went with a glossy black as opposed to a flat black.

Also I am getting new side markers cause my old ones are like dead and I am having small portions of the front and rear bumper done in black also. The middle openings of the fronts as well as the rear portion that is sort of slotted.

I just need to drop off my eyelids and hopefully accolade ships my wing in time.

Thanks to everyone for their help.

Yah man super sweet...my wing will get there by Tuesday. In the mean time I gotta drop off my eyelids as well.

Another quick question...for the time being I am having him install new sidemarkers for me because between taking them off and on in putting new bulbs on it, they are pretty much busted. Anybody know of any alternatives I could tell the shop that are clear like our headlights.

well just to give you guys an update...the wing got there on tuesday and I checked out my ride on monday.

the exhaust needs some adjustment in the rear to make it fit with the bumper but hopefully I'll get another update on the car tomorrow. Once i get my car, I will make a new thread so that you can all see the build up of my car. Got so much to do.

In case any of you still care...I got to see my car yesterday, everything is painted but somehow no one realized that there is no spot for a rear license plate. I had to specify exactly where i wanted it. Also they have to modify the rear exhaust opening just a little to make more room for my Greddy muffler. It fits now but it would be so close that it would probably melt in a week or 2.

They are saying weeks end...the spoiler paint looks phenomenal and that vortex generator is looking oh so sexxxy

a ES brake light will work on your car FYI.

i put one from an evo VIII in last week... i had to do plenty of drilling and cutting through the material under the carpet there on the rear deck. there are spots for everything--but no holes in the rear deck. i tried to keep it clean, but i ended up making a mess. who cares... it's hidden under the brake light assembly anyway.

there is also a piece of the wiring harness that you can plug a third brake light into in the trunk, no splicing necessary.

I think a brake light across the top (underside) of the spoiler, would be pretty cool actually.. Kinda reminding me of the older Evo's.

Question tho... I was under the impression that the Evo 8 and 9 spoilers are the same thing.. Arent they?
