Lancer paint issue with license plate
magz,
I live off Holland and Rosemont...stuck here for three more years...
spool Good Ideas...I think remounting it off to the side is cool, would love to do that, just gotta fill in the holes to look like they were never there...

I had the same problem with mine too. What ever you do i would not let the dealer touch the car. You would be better off to spend the money for scratch remover and just eat the cost if the dealers at the beach are anything like they are in richmond. You will spend more time at the dealer then if you had fixed it yourslef. The dealers suck when it comes to fixing anything with paint.
I'll just second magz solution. I had this problem, went and bought a license plate holder for the front anyway, then when I went to put it on, realized they barely screwed it in. Once you tighten it up, you'll have no issues at all. You will have to tighten it a lot though, as magz said, because there aren't any threads. You've just got to keep turning until it feels secure.
