Fuze49's 06 OZ Build Thread - Updated 7-19-08

Up all night doing work. Got tons of stuff done. Struts installed and a few other things done. I'll post pics after some sleep and get new batteries when I wake up for my camera.

P.S. CRSmoak - That rear strut was a b*tch to get on and bolted down. Couldn't even get the nuts off to install the H brace =[

Edit: Pics on post 10. More incoming when I get it washed and tails redone this week end.

Update 7-19-08: Updated pics of the car and engine bay on post 26. Enjoy and let me know what you think

What was hard about getting the rear bar on, I remember it just bolted right up?
Yeah the two bolts up front where the control arms are where pretty hard to get off. The pipe on my jack can be taken off so I just stuck the wrench in the pipe to aply more force, came off pretty easy that way. Also try some PB blaster from autozone.

No. Front and rear struts and H brace from RRM.

CRSmoak - I'll give the PB blaster a try. I think I have a can lying around some where. It was like 5 in the morning when we were doing this with no sleep. Front strut slipped on like a glove. The rear for some reason went down just fine but we couldn't get the bolts to seat but a hammer pound on the ratchet head can do wonders =]

Try kicking the wrench, that could do the trick to, haha.
Seriously though.

Looks good. I tried kicking the wrench but the bastard wouldn't budge. We are going over to a friend's house who has a lift and some impact wrenches <(^_^)> Gonna pop those nuts right out =D

Edit - When I went to go take pics this morning after I woke up, it was raining. Who would thnk that it rains in Las Vegas....

Looks good man, real clean.
Next goal should be a drop, imo.
Maybe some spacers as well.
So what other stuff you got going on the car?

I'm gonna pick up some 17's soon then a carbon front lip and leave the body alone. I'll probably then get some engine upgrades then some coilovers. I think the 17's will fill out the wheel well enough to where I won't really need a drop since its an auto x car

The 16g is so last on my list =X I wanna make it a sick N/A car before I go boosted. It just cost so much money. I probably won't have it til well into the summer =[

Ah I see, I wanted to see how much time I have to pay off debt and start boosting. If we have a cruise and shoot session I don't want to be the slowest person there lol.
