It's pretty hard to get aftermarket manufacturer to do projector for our Lancer because the Taiwan Lancer is not really the same as our Lancer this time and the projector they came standard on the base model as well....so I wonder if they will do it at this moment unless they are doing it only for the US market.

 

there's australia, malaysia and singapore market aswell , sharing the same projector as the GTS i think

 

It's the only option we have for proyectors unless you want to custom mod your oem headligths.

i have the oem projectors aswell and not too sure how to replace them

Well I have some interesting news on this....

I happen to own a early model PZEV 08 GTS (#2790 off the line from the main plant). And I got curious and actually looked at my headlamp harness...

And to my shock, I have the harness needed for the OEM projectors, the connector that is wide with the circuit board in it and the smaller one under it, that actually mounts to the headlight assembly, and not to the individual lamps ...

WTF, I thought all 08's lacked the harness, guess not.

So I am wondering if it is only certain models of 08's lack the harness. It could be anything from the manufacturing plant, to it being a PZEV or not, who knows.

I am going to setup a survey to find out.

i found kind of after market head lights. but it looks like they got standard lights and put in a projector. o and it has halos.

thats a sweet ride, and love the color. I used to have an 09 GTS in Octane Blue but my hubby drove it to work and parked it, and a street sweeper pulling out of a hotel parking lot hit it and dragged it into the curb. I got it fixed and traded her in on a 08 RR Evo X, not my fave color though.

I have my ear to the ground and I know there are 1 to 2 variants of a pretty complex projector halo kit coming out. So I am pretty sure its going to be way way lower than 1200 dollars. half that is likely.

either way, this K2 motor kit looks ok.
