Reflector and license plate delete.

Just wanted to show off my recent work on a customer/SCLC Members bumper.

and here's my car with the same work done to it. Before and after shots show what i took off. The license plate holders for the front bumper leave these huge holes on the front and the reflectors on the sides of the bumper when taken off leave huge rectangle holes on the sides.

It looks really good dude. I had a how to on how to do the front bumper holes, I may have to do the reflectors. It makes that stock bumper look so much hotter. The lip doesn't hurt either lol.

Thanks guys. I have more projects lined up so hopefully i can document it and post it up. When I'm working on stuff I'm usually too focused to stop and take pictures of every step so if anything I'll just post up the final products.

ILoveWheels: you are pretty lucky. Just the other night me, kevin and marc [you know them from SCLC] were out in Santa Clarita and the cops pulled me over for not having a license plate but i corrected them on that because they didn't see it in the bumper =P

SlvOz117: Thanks for the compliment? lol it might be parted it out soon. keep an eye out.

BrandonShaw: Yah, its a bit of a pita. Pretty time consuming especially if you want it to be really clean. I must've spent more of my time wet sanding that bumper than anything else. I didn't use much bondo on these bumpers actually. If you prep everything right and use the materials properly which in this case is the urethane weld you can get away with using very little bondo/filler. I only used a small skim coat of feather-rite on this to fill in the pin holes from the bubbles in the urethane weld. Thanks for the compliments.

eehjay: Yah, I saw your write up. You did an excellent job on it. I've actually used this technique a long time ago for other cars but its a first for me on a lancer. I also use a different type of epoxy its specifically made for urethane bumpers but I'm sure the epoxy you're using is just fine and probably easier to work with.

Thanks. In total its about 3 days of work. The bumper the customer dropped off was a little beat up so I had to repair a few things first before getting to work on the rest of the stuff. Your lucky in California its required that you have a front plate holes or no holes. Obviously some people get away with it.

Yah, I don't want to put the cheapo chicken wire mesh but i think that will have to be it especially since I'm leaning towards parting out the car.
