e-brake removal

So...i looked around it and didn't see any set-screws and it didn't move when I tryed to twist/unscrew it off...so...
how do you remove it?

Heat with hair dryer, and pry off with flathead? Thats how ive heard it being done. but dont heat it too much, it could melt

Prolly to put a more comforable grip on it or one that matches a shifter that he coulda got.

I've never tried it on a lancer, but on my 78 mustang you had to take off the whole center section.
