so, you removed all the bulbs and such. remove the wires and stuff all that yayaya, what about the bolts and screws? and di you just put the headlight on the oven rack? or did you put it on something else

also, with the adhesive, it just came apart when you heated it? no screw driver to pry the 2 peices apart or anything? and the seal was fine when everything was said and done??

sorry so many questions, i've just had so many bad experiences with headlight moisture haha

Yes, I removed everything I could from the assembly. I put the headlight on a cookie sheet then put that in the oven. Yes, it came right apart when heated. I recommend using oven mitts or something when trying to pry apart with your fingers, you need to just work your way around the top/bottom, pull the plastic piece over the black piece(you'll see when its out and apart). Comes right out, do what you have to do, put back in the oven when it's kind of together so the glue doesn't drip, then smoosh it together when you take it back out. I havent had 1 bit of moisture in my headlights or anything, it's perfect.

I did this last night. When i baked them, i put them on a damp dish towel, just so i wouldnt have any issues with the headlight melting to the cookie sheet. I will be taking pics today, but they look sick on a yellow car. I can answer questions too now, if anyone has anymore.

I painted mine with Dupli-color High Temp Black Paint, I also used high temp Dupli-color ford red for the red ring.

Oh, also, tomorrow there will be some nicer pics that are more clear, and I will make a new thread to see just them and not all of the other million pages of jibber jabber.

no preps, just a very light quick coat, let it sit for a minute, then do a heavy coat over it so it sticks nicer.
