Lowered 02-07 Lancers. Post your pics!
no but wow thats really nice and clean. But literally everyone gets those rims for our cars! Haha what happened to your lip though!? What are you lowered on
Yea did the easy bake oven DIY. I'm going to buy the "high quality depo" JDM headlights from ebay soon, they're like 300 bucks though lol. Better me some damn high quality DEPOs
Yea not really Handicap, I agree; the wheels are pretty played out. I didn't notice how so until after I got them of course.
To be honest I'm on cut springs at the moment. Will be getting BCs here pretty soon though.
Also soon to come I will be getting a fog light bar made (w/fog lights I have). If anyone else remembers I did the accord fog light DIY way back when, got rid of those way back when as well.
Also will be Plasti-Dipping my entire car Matte bronze. I tend to come and go from this forum but you guys will see all of the bigger updates (one, maybe two more). Feel free to criticize.
Almost forgot: My rear lip melted when I had the 4" tip on there, three exhaust systems later I'm satisfied (OBX header, magnaflow glasspack, Magnaflow side in center out, 2.5" piping) Those damn rear lips are pretty expensive. I call salvage yards everyone once in a while, no luck. Get one on ebay here and there, I'd like to keep my arms and legs, thank you very much. Might end up forkin up the cash for one soon enough.
In all seriousness I probably won't have this car much longer, as soon as I'm done with the training I'm in (5 more months or so) I'll be back home to Cali. Plan on starting a light E30, S13 or S14 build so I can have a descent older (but still reliable) daily while I get some side projects going. All in all I don't find sinking money into my car very desirable these days. Not that there is much into it anyways.

damn that sounds nice. I was thinking of just getting an srs catback from ebay and then cutting it before the muffler and welding a blast pipe on to it and then maybe later on, put a test pipe on. What do you think of that? But yeah the lip is like $400 on oemmitsubishiparts.com for the rear, crazy. Do you need those slots in the bumper to fit the lips? Cause ive been looking on ebay and junkyards for oz rallys that i can take the lips from but i have an es
I don't want to take the credit for the wright up, that wasn't me, but I did post my end results after doing it myself. I didn't touch my bumper in terms of modding it for those fog lights I just kept tripping until it fit correctly. I'd like to see when you're done so I know what you mean.
The ride on cut springs is stiff, I like it; I want a bit lower in the front to be honest. I'm going to just wait until I get my BCs. I had a 4" tip (fart can) on my first exhaust not 4" piping throughout. The system I have isn't the "magnaflow system" for our cars, its actual separate components I bought and had welded up at a shop.
Test pipes for our cars are a bit overpriced considering you can get the OBX header and it bolts up removing both cats (one built in manifold and bank 2 cat). With that said the one I bought was about 5 inches too short and had to pay an exhaust shop $40 to get it extended. With that said, I took a picture and sent it to the seller on ebay (explaining the entire situation) and they sent it to OBX and OBX refunded me $20 (better than nothing).
When I had my OBX header installed I had no CEL (Check Engine Light) and I still don't
I'm not a fan of blast pipes, in addition, our cars can sound a bit raspy without well isolated mufflers if we are running no cats (about the 3krpm mark, goes away after 3.5krpm). To each their own though.
Yes you will need those slots along with the fasteners (clips) that hold the tabs in the slot, you can get them from a dealer for ~35 cents each, I think there are about 24 of them. You're probably better off not getting the rear lip I sort of think it makes the rear end look a little weird, but if you really want one spend the $120+ on a rear bumper that has the slots(or trade w/someone). Thats if you dont think u can get those tabs pretty perfect, it's pretty esential for a tight fit. There may be a DIY thread on it, I don't know. On that note, were ever you go to get it painted it will probably be around $250+. I know this because I do this for a living. You pay to get stuff done right unless you get a "hommie hook-up." Or the shop takes short cuts for you to get the best price.

lol theres a dealership/performance shop (psi performance) near me and they have a few broken down s13's just sittin there, its like s13 junkyard heaven lol, anyways I was thinkin of asking them how much theyd want for one of them and use it to start a new project. Im actually taking a ride over next week, probly ask then.

Like how stiff? Cause im on megan coils and i want to go lower, especially in the back cause my 2 bottom collars are out on each side in the rear and it doesnt go crazy low like it does in the front. I want to be like 2 inches off the ground static cause bags are too expensive haha
Ahh alright good i was gonna say wow that had to slow your car down lol thats what im planning on doing, setting flanges so i can pretty much have a custom exhaust and just custom put it together till i think it sounds its best. And yeah you can get one testpipe for $100 from rrm. We have a cat in the manifold? What the hell haha you got this obx from ebay? Is there another place i can get it? It sounds nice lol im pretty sure our cars have 2 cats and one resonator, right? What are their locations? one in the manifold, but what about the other 2? So all you have is a muffler im guessing? And yeah im gonna try my best not to get a raspy sound.
Hmm thats not bad at all, 35 cents each haha how much is the actual lip from the dealer? and also, cant you get it from the dealer painted as well? That was my plan, i was gonna get a new oz front bumper cover and rear bumper cover and then just buy the lips and get it all painted and then since i cant find the skirts, i was just gonna get the ralliart side skirts and get them painted cause i was told that just the ralliart side skirts fit our cars. No worries im planning on doing things the right way cause i want my car to turn out good! Why i went with coilovers instead of cutting my springs or getting lowering springs haha
Also would you happen to have a video of how your car sounds? I wanna hear this man!

@Bcuzlancer: The ride is probably equivalent to a 5 or 6 on a coilover setting (stiffer side of the "street ride") Also the reason I did my research on coilovers and decided to go with BC Coilover system is because they have a free of charge "lower" option, this includes shorter installed springs and cylinders. They are a little more on the expensive side but aside from the lower option they're also the best on the market for our cars, even better than Tien. You said you've removed the collars, again to each their own but I don't like to modify something I just spent a grand on, when I can spend a couple $100 more to give a genuinely lower option on a higher quality product and not void that products warranty. Again, that's just me. Some people may not have the luxury of having a slightly larger budget.
Yes our cars have two cats, in the manifold (were the first 02 sensor is) and after the flex pipe. We also have the small box resonator and of course the muffler at the end (from factory of course). Honestly we don't drive fast cars, doesn't matter if it was 2", 3" piping or 10" piping to be honest, straight pipe does our NA motors nothing aside from a nice sound (opinions may very). Plain and simple NA motors need some type of back pressure to run efficiently (some exceptions).
Yes that's the price from the dealer (@ the clips), price may very from dealer to dealer depending if they have it in stock or what have you. Also, not all dealerships have a body shop, but they should have a body shop they send all their body work too. I work at a high end body shop and I know you get what you pay for plain and simple. Best thing to do is get a proper estimate (i.e. reputable shop, yes do some research) and accept it. I know of a few body shops which some dealers send their work to and its not the best or even good for that matter, not to be cocky but my shop is just at a totally different level. But we have to due to the cars we work on.
Anyways, I don't have my header on at the moment, I had to drive 2600 miles from Cali to my current location and I didn't want to hear my old (:P) mother complain about the "noise." (Given this was 6 months ago.) With that said I'll be visiting for Christmas and on my return I will be RE installing the header. If I can figure out how to send a video from my Droid I will, but problems I've found in the past is that the file is too large. If I can do it, I will.

Its off broad street in lansdale. Its like a side street and they have a a dealership connected to the performance shop. They have quite a few well tuned STI's, an Evo X, an Evo 9, an s14, 2 M3's, 1 or 2 broken down s13's (i assume old drift cars just by looking at them) a few rx7's and an older gen supra. If you're an import lover it's quite an awesome place to go look around.

Alright well its good to know their locations, i will remember that! And well yeah, our cars are slow haha but if you turbo it or anything then it becomes a factor.
Yeh i know of some high end body shops around here, rt tuning for example, jnz who is a mitsubishi specialist place so i got that already. Whats the body shop you are at?
Bahaha i feel you on that. Sounds good dudee, if not its fine. But theres also youtube, could just link me!
I can't legally say the name of the body shop without permission on a public forum or else I can lose my job, even if I say nothing negative about it. But I will say we work on only BMW's, not how other shops will "specialize" in a certain type of car but still work on other cars. We actually don't touch anything other than BMW, also nothing more than a couple years old. The average cost of the the BMW's we work on is about 80 grand. (we don't get many or the entry level cars)
To order the lower option, you would just tell whoever is selling them, if it is an ebay seller they will ask you to specify. If it is an actual shop that sells them, they will probably automatically ask. I'm not sure how much lower it drops, I'd imagine at least an inch more F/R. Could be wrong. But I do know with the lower option they're the lowest ones on the market for our cars.
My flight leaves tomorrow so about 2 weeks from then I should have my header back on, we will see.

Wow i live like 20 minutes from it haha and i think i know what youre talking about, does it seem really sketchy and is it next to railroad tracks? cause i went to this place one time looking for some cars after my first lancer was totaled and i think it was psi cause it had alot of the cars you just listed. Also rock driveway?

lol ahh alright ill be on the lookout for that option. Thanks for the info man! Sounds good! Thats the one, rock driveway by the train tracks. The dealerships cars are way too unreasonably priced, I was looking at a few cars there before I bought my lancer, but the cars right next to it at PSI are so nice. They do a lot of their work overnight, I went last week at around 1130pm-ish and they were still there fixing something up. After taking a 2nd look at the s13 I'm not sure, it looks like a ton of work, basically rebuilding it from the ground up, I don't think the wheels are truly connected, the driver side window is shattered, theres a tarp over the back(who knows what damage is under there), hell I'm not even sure if theres an engine in the car. But, doesnt hurt to ask.
Damn sounds like a ton of work and money! Haha if i could build an engine and drop one into a car, yeah id totally do it but im not at that level of experience yet
but i would love to turn that into something great
Just thought I'd give a quick update: I sent my OBX header back to were I'm currently living, they said it would be arriving on the 3rd. I thought it was really stupid considering it cost me $117 to ship it, I could've bought a new ebay brand header for that. The things I do to keep name brand....
Sometimes I feel like I'm the special one. lol
