I know its different in every state ( I am in florida ) are BLUE LED Parking lights legal in my state? If you don't know, how about in your state?

 

sure is. lol. Blue and red are illegal

 

i don't think blue or red is legal in any state..since "only ambulance/police vehicles" can have them in front of the vehicle

 

My friend who sells car parts says we only have to have amber turning signals, that parking lights can be blue but not red, any1 have a way you can find out for sure? I don't want to risk a ticket for blue parking lights instead of yellow lol....

 

blue lights are a big nono. blue lights is impersonationg an officer. red lights are for any emergency vehicle, like ambulance, fire truck, and even tow trucks. green lights are volenteer firefighters ( here in wa. maybe diff other places). i've gotten away with having green fog lights thats pushing your luck, good thing i can keep a straight face when i lie to cops hope this helps

 

I found that a quick way to find out any of that stuff (i.e. tinting laws, bulb colors, etc.) is just to call the Sheriff's Office and ask them, just make sure the number that you dial is NOT 911.

 

When I call they dont answer me they say to look @ the statutues online... your in FL, call in and ask about Blue Parking Lights.. ;P

 

Maybe I'll do it if I ever finish my homework... I must be crazy, I'm working fulltime, going to college fulltime, doing homework..... and the list goes on and on! By chance did they mention WHERE to check it online?!?

hmmm... I just ran a quick search and found nothing under FL's statutes (sp?). I'll see what I can find out for you.

parking lights? arent those the ones you use to reverse? why would a cop pull you over for that if your already pulled over?

 

No those are the ones in the front on the sides of the Headlights (inside)

 

oh, weird... yeah those are pretty much illegal if you change the color. they must be amber

 

I got HUGE fines for having blue running lights. :P
