Very simple mod to do. I bought a big sheet of coloured filter, tons left over, and it's sitting in my closet.
$3 via Paypal gets you a piece big enough for 2 layers (the only way you'll get it red enough), that just covers my cost of material and postage.
I'll try to find the write-up on how to get at the clock, if not, I'll post a how-to this weekend.
My Paypal address is jasonchiu@sympatico.ca.

Found a link to the write-up posted in another thread.
I was about to buy some, but this looks like it's a bit over my head.

I dunno. I was hoping it would go over the outside. I'm not real big on the whole "take half the dash off and pry the clock apart" kinda stuff. I was hoping it just went over the outside (cuz I'm lazy like that, yo).

That's cool. It's really not that hard. Everything's held in by screws and plastic clips, nothing you so will damage anything permanently. I broke 2 clips, but everything still went back together perfectly.
I'll post a how to this weekend, you decide. I'm just trying to help out and get rid of my extra material. I already sent a piece to sadude, maybe when he gets it done he can post a review on how easy/hard it was.

I say just write up the thing anyways.. it's always better to have firsthand account of what to do step by step with pics, rather than from another site. Where did you source the material.. I been looking for that stuff, but in blue, not red!

ya i did the red clock thing too, and total red dash, except my cold area on the hot/cold dial is blue
it was very easy to do, i bought the piece of red film from badevo (who wrote the write up) for 5 bucks (your getting a deal here) and followed his instructions exactly and now my dash looks BAD ***!! looks awsome at night. i also did the cigerate lighter and lights under my shifter ( i have an auto) but those are much much harder. i dont recommend doing them until u get a lil experience from the dash firtst.
all in all the red clock is awsome and i do recommend all to get it, unless you gotta a different color scheme going on, then do that.
and no, i dont know jtc personally so im not endorsing him, just giving a heads up to fellow evom members

I just read the how to as well. It does look more involved that you would want but then again so is everything worth doing. It would especially be worth it if you were going to do the whole dash like above. That is really sweet...
