Bodykit from start to finish
Use acrylic urethane (this is what factory uses) cuz it won t crack when it gets hit. And if you use Dupont then use all Dupont products..I meant, don't mix Dupont with PPG paint (two of the best paint products in the US) cuz it will not mix well.

Alright now I've been debating w/ myself whether or not I should try something like this because I would rather use the money I would be paying a body shop to do it, for more mods! Fitting the kit and putting it on the car doesn't seem to bad, it's the paint that is going to have to meet ultra-satisfactory, personally. I've done minor paint jobs (dash, headlights, calipers), but a big investment like a body kit is something that might be out of my league. Hopefully I can clear some things up and maybe it won't seem so impossible...
What kind of paint gun is most applicable for this kind of job? I would assume that just grabbing the right color coded spray can and just spraying it on wouldn't be too logical for the life of the paint, nor would it look too good. However, I recently just found an air brush kit out in my garage, would the Dupont paint and clearcoat work with this kind of kit?
I know there are special paint applicators used when painting the exterior of a car. Any details as to what you are using to apply the paint...
...and how much would a decent paint gun cost?

P.S. Thanks for any help!

2wenty2, I will be doing a full writeup on the whole painting process once i get the kit painted and put on the car. Im only taking pictures as I go for now. Nason clearcoat is $45 by the quart, which is a pretty damn good price for a quality clearcoat.
Discreet, I use a warwick gravity feed HVLP paintgun. A simple art airbrush wont do this sorta job. Maybe if you want you can buy a detailer paintgun (slightly smaller than a full blown airbrush) for about $70-80. A decent full size paintgun will set you back around $140-150. Just go down to the nearest automotive paint store and have em mix up a batch of paint for you. Dont forget the reducer and to get primer and clearcoat with it.
