I was also wondering about the drilling... Im assuming he drilled the holes first but Im not sure. Also, Kareem, how many rattle cans of the high-build primer did it take? I found the primer at Walmart yesterday and its like $3.49 a can. Im just wondering how many cans I'd need to buy

are you suppose to sand before you primer, and then sand again?

I do wet sanding when I'm painting a kit. Soak the sandpaper for at least 15 mins and add little bit of car wash soap for a lubrication. Make sure the kit is always wet when sanding it.

Grits of Sandpaper I use:

200+ - remove imperfection
400-600

1200 for clear coat to remove imperfection (overspray) then
1500 + then

For final sanding: 2000-2500 grits. Some painter uses up to 3000 grits for show cars.

I drilled the holes for fitting after i primered the kit. Aznflip, you pretty much have it nailed down. Only wetsand anything higher than 500 grit though.

It's actually blacklancer03's kit we did. He got the KEN style and it was from the pretty recent GB for $550. Anyone else from that group buy get the same thing on their kit?

When first sanding, do you have to sand every square inch, like the crevases, etc. or would you recommend doing the crevases by hand?
