I guess you will cover this later when you do the full write-up, but I still would like to know

What are the steps in primering the parts? You sand it first and then put the primer on?

And I see its in a spray can, are all primers in spray cans? Hell, what does the primer actually do? You would think that the name would explain it but im like, lower than a newbie when it comes to paints. I havent painted jack in my life!

Not counting preschool/elementary school...

Sand the surface, clean it with alcohol or some other degreasing cleaning agent (that doesnt contain oils or any additives. Then spray the primer on thin, let it dry 15 mins then put another primer layer (to cover everything this time) thicker but dont let it drip.

Primer is sold in spray cans and in pint cans (which u shoot with a paintgun). I see no difference between the 2 and spraycans is easier... so that's what i use. Primer helps the paint adhere to the surface. If you try to paint without the primer, it's not gonna stick (it's gonna flake off after it dries).

150/240 grit for the kit before you primer it (to get the major imperfections out). Primer it, then go over it with a 500 grit paper. Wipe off the dust then paint.

Aight dudes, here's the update. I got the paint and the clearcoat, but when i set down the first layer of paint... I noticed alot of imperfections in the surface left by the primer. I will be gelcoating the kit tomorrow then i will start painting it again.

The bad thing about Accolade's kit is their name is embedded in the actual fiberglass or whatever it is. If you don't want it, you have to sand it out... Very crapy idea Accolade!
