Painted my front grill. *56k maybe*

so yeah the other day i decided "hey im gonna paint my front grill" well.....instead of going about it the right way.... sanding, primiring, painting. what i did...i bought a can of spray adhesive then painted it.

yeah anyway...we decided to clearcoat it.......but i think the spray adhesive had a weird affect on it..... what do you think?

finished product needs to be cleaned.

well anyway the day was really clear and nice...but towards the end of the night it got really humid suddenly. so we thought the paint was dry...but i guess it fully wasnt cause it got a smudge on it. all in all it looks pretty good. although maybe in the future sometime i will actually go back and do it right. cause installing it i scrathed it and a little of the chrome peeks out.

what do you guys think?

If you like it, then it was worth it. To me the only thing wrong with the Lancer other than the huge rear bumper is that stupid stock grill. I replaced with the Ralliart grill and I love the look of it.

Make sure you clear coat it to protect the paint a bit from stones and such.

I like it...a nice and understated contrast to the red

Like MeWantBoost, would recommend several coats of black and some high quality clear coat. The front takes a real beating from road grime, stones, bugs etc. Checkout the PPG clear coat

i tried to do the same thing that you did and mine was screwed up in less than a week. two words... sand it... that is what you should have done just to be safe then it might have a slightly increased chance of sticking to the plastic. when i looked at mine and the paint had chipped off i just called my uncle who works at a paint and body shop and asked if he could spray it with real car paint. he did and look at the finished product...
