service warning

hi guys. i just got my rims in and the service requird warning pops out. can anyone tell me why?

may be the tire pressure sensors? or something. Take your car by an autozone asap and get them to read the code, then you will know whats going on. They do it for free.

lancerman is right. Your new rims don't have the tire pressure monitoring system ( TPMS ) sensor so it's kinda obvious that a code would be thrown. You can either live with it or disconnect the battery every so often to clear the code.

Can't the sensors be installed on the new rims? Take them off the stock rims and install on the new ones?

maybe try Part Source? they might do it... I know they test a few things for free... not sure what though.

if u put the stock sensors in ur new wheels, the light should go away. if u purchased new sensors with ur wheel, u will have to get them reprogramed to ur car. post some pics when u get a chance

What they said. It's the pressure monitoring system. I REALLY wish the GTS did NOT include it.

ok i called markham mistubishi, the mechanic told me i have to do my servicing. so im gonna have that done this weekend. will keep u guys noted.

I'm sure he just said that to get your $$$. Have you even hit a service mileage? My car came set with the countup set at 7500.

Contact Rock or Brian with RRM. They have a GTS that they put 19s on. See what they did to bypass the TPS.

my servicing km is at 5500-6000 km per service
im almost at 6000 now
